Mix 1 cup of warm water with 1/4 cup of yeast. Let stand 5 minutes. Add 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil, 1/4 cup of sugar, 1/2 cup molasses, and 1 cup of flour. Beat well. Cover; let rise about 30 minutes or until doubled in bulk. Punch down and divide into two pieces. Shape into flat loaves. Place in lightly greased pans. Cover; let rise until double in volume. Bake at 400 degrees F for 35 minutes. Cool completely.
6 Cinnamon Rolls
1 Mix 1 cup warm water, 1/4 cup yeast, and 1/4 cup sugar. Let stand 5 minutes or until foamy. Add 1/2 cup melted shortening, 1/2 cup milk, and 1 egg. Beat well. Gradually stir in 1 cup flour, 1 teaspoon salt, and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon. Turn onto floured surface; knead until soft and elastic about 6-8 minutes. Grease bowl; place dough in bowl.
